Jaxson Dart, the Ole Miss quarterback, must be enjoying himself right now.
Dart, a senior, is not only one of the early contenders for the 2024 Heisman Trophy, but he also recently signed a NIL contract with Dick’s Sporting Goods worth allegedly $100,000.
Dart will appear in a back-to-school commercial alongside sportscaster Kay Adams. Part of the advertisement states that he will take fans “behind the scenes” to show off his favorite Dick’s gear and clothing.
“Partnering with Dick’s Sporting Goods is an incredible opportunity,” Dart stated in a statement obtained by On3. “I’m looking forward to sharing my style and gear preferences with fans and being part of a brand that truly supports athletes.”
Dart, a junior, threw for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions. He also rushed for 391 yards and eight touchdowns, demonstrating his versatility. With his third season in Lane Kiffin’s offense, Dart has the potential to be one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the country this season. Ole Miss was 11-2 last season, including a Peach Bowl victory over Penn State.
If Dart can play like a Heisman candidate in 2024, the Rebels have a solid chance of making the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.
