Deion Smith is at Oxford. That much we know. It’s unclear when Ole Miss Compliance will clear him to begin practicing with the Rebels. Ole Miss enters week three of fall camp this week, with the season opener against FCS member Furman scheduled for August 31.
Smith was the nation’s top junior college player in the 2024 class, regardless of position, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Index. Last December, he chose Ole Miss over offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, and other schools. He stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
His addition would enhance what many consider to be the nation’s top wide receiver corps.
