Mack is ranked as the No. 20 running back prospect in America and the No. 36 player regardless of position in the Lone Star State’s 2026 class.

Cardae Mack made Dave Campbell’s list for Mr. Football in Texas this week based on his performance…as quarterback. Mack, who carried for 1,370 yards and 19 touchdowns as a tailback for Atascocita (Texas) High School last year, is now the prep team’s quarterback. He also caught 20 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns last season.

But the 2026 running back understands that his time as a signal caller is limited to his high school years. Mack, a Composite four-star, is ranked as the No. 20 running back prospect in America and the No. 36 player overall in the Lone Star State’s 2026 recruiting class. He already has offers from SEC programs Ole Miss, Missouri, and South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M, as well as Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, USC and UTEP. Every school has offered the 5-9, 185-pounder as a running back.
