The UNC commit already has a tour date scheduled to see UF.
With the Florida Gators off this weekend, secondary coach Will Harris was in the Orlando area on Monday to do recruiting visits. One of his appearances was at Orlando (Florida) First Academy, which is home to one of UF’s 2026 commits. Following Harris’ departure, the Gators issued a new offer, with 2026 cornerback Danny Odem joining the list of targets.
“This was really a surprise and came out of nowhere,” Odem said of the offer. “That was my first time meeting him, and later that day, it was my first time speaking with him over the phone. it was my first time talking to him on the phone. It was a great talk with him. Looking forward to going up there for a visit.”
When Odem was able to catch up with Harris by phone later in the day on Monday, it was his first chance to start the foundation of their relationship.
