Fans are doubting Miami Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill’s status as his team prepares to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Despite being ruled questionable, the wide receiver prepared and played in the team’s Week 8 loss against the Arizona Cards.
Days later, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post claimed that Hill missed the portion of Wednesday’s practice that was accessible to reporters. Schad also stated that Hill had a foot injury.
Hill did not appear on last Wednesday’s report. He was also limited on Thursday and skipped last Friday’s practice completely.
Nonetheless, Cheetah had six receptions on nine targets for 72 yards in the 28-27 loss to Arizona. Hill is still marked active, but his disappearance has supporters wondering if he would play against Buffalo.
Last season, Hill was on track to reach 2,000 receiving yards before being sidelined by an ankle ailment in December. So far this season, he has 366 yards in seven games, putting him on track for 888 by the conclusion of the year.
Hill arrived in Miami in 2022, following six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. In each of his first two seasons with the Dolphins, he had more than 1,700 receiving yards.
His sole 100-yard performance this season occurred in a Week 1 victory over the Jaguars. The fast receiver caught seven passes for 130 yards and his only touchdown of the season.
As of Oct. 30, the Dolphins had defensive tackles Zach Sieler and Benito Jones, offensive lineman Terron Armstead, and linebacker Emmanual Ogbah listed as questionable. River Cracraft, Hill’s fellow receiver, is on injured reserve with upper-body issues.
Meanwhile, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned on Sunday after suffering a concussion in Week 2 against the Bills.
The Dolphins are 2-5 into Sunday’s game against the 6-2 Buffaloes. A defeat would leave Miami 5.5 games behind Buffalo in the standings.
