Georgia football and Kirby Smart continue to make significant recruiting gains. Smart and his staff are not hesitant to recruit players from all around the country, but in-state targets are extremely crucial. That significance grows tenfold when the recruit is one of the highest-ranked recruits in the country.
Georgia is favoring in-state recruitments, including one of the finest tight ends in the country. Georgia should have a decent chance at this recruiting, but based on his top five, it will be a difficult battle for the Bulldogs to win.
5-star TE Kaiden Prothro
Kaiden Prothro is a five-star tight end from Bowdon, Georgia. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the 21st best player in the country. He is also Georgia’s number two tight end and overall player.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, Prothro just declared his top five schools, and Georgia made the cut, which came as no surprise. Georgia will face significant SEC competition in this recruitment, as Florida, Auburn, Texas, and Alabama have all made the cut for Prothro.

Prothro will most certainly pay official visits to all five of these colleges later this summer, including Georgia, where he has already booked an official visit to Athens. This visit will begin on May 30 and last for the entire week. Prothro has already come to campus several times, but this will be his most extensive visit during his whole recruitment.
This recruiting will not be easy to win, but Georgia fans should be confident right now because he is from Georgia and the Bulldogs have a long history of producing strong tight ends.
