Henderson, a 6-foot-6, 225-pound five-star talent, is presently ranked 21st among prep seniors nationwide, according to the 247Sports 2025 Composite. He ranks fourth at his position and second in Texas.

Bellaire (26-10) will compete for the school’s first state title on Saturday night when Henderson and the Cardinals face the five-time champion Duncanville High School Panthers (26-7) at the Alamodome, the site of this year’s NCAA Tournament final four.

Shelton Henderson is one of four early 2025 signees for Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils, making up the nation’s top recruiting class. He committed to Duke’s basketball program in early November, then signed later that month during the early signing period.
