Under head coach Bruce Pearl, the Auburn Tigers are regarded by many as one of the top collegiate basketball schools in the country. Pearl and the Tigers just made it to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament, which was a great performance. Auburn defeated Alabama State, Creighton, Michigan State, and Michigan.
In the end, they lost in the Final Four to Florida. Pearl and his team invested effort in acquiring KeyShawn Hall, one of the best players in the transfer portal, during their March Madness run.
The top transfer expressed his admiration for Pearl after committing to the SEC powerhouse, and after playing with the UCF Knights this past season, Hall joined “The Next Round” podcast to share his opinions on Pearl.
“He showed so much dedication and he seemed so genuine, with the things he could help me with” Hall stated. “Auburn, the last couple of years has been a winning program and that’s something that I want to be a part of.”
Hall averaged 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game during his time with the Knights last season. Hall has averaged 15.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game across his three years in college. Hall played one season at George Mason and one season at UNLV before to joining the UCF Knights.

Hall will now assist Pearl in replacing Johni Broome, a finalist for Naismith Player of the Year. At 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, he led Auburn.
