
Over the past month, there has been a huge departure from the Notre Dame women’s basketball team. Three Irish players were chosen in the WNBA Draft, and a few more, including Olivia Miles, a superstar, have been added to the transfer site.
Notre Dame had to search the transfer site for several athletes because they were only getting one new recruit.
Malaya Cowles, a graduate transfer from the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, is the first. Malaya, who recently had her finest collegiate season, will make an instant impression as a member of the Irish front court.

Gisela Sanchez from the Kansas State Wildcats is the next transfer to Notre Dame. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Sanchez was a member of the Arizona Wildcats. She transferred to KSU, where she averaged roughly 5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 15 minutes per game after missing the entire 2021–2022 season due to an injury.
