After the 2024–25 collegiate basketball season, the Duke Blue Devils basketball team has received important transfer portal news.

Players are rushing to make their final decisions as the college basketball portal window closes at the end of Tuesday.

A number of Duke players have left, either by declaring for the NBA Draft or through the portal. Head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff think they have put together a team that can compete at the highest level for the 2025–26 season, despite these losses.

His leadership and presence in the locker room, more than his on-court performance, are what make the most recent departure a significant loss. Considered by many to be a “glue guy,” this athlete was instrumental in the Blue Devils’ run to the 2025 NCAA Final Four.

Stanley Borden declared his intention to access the transfer site. Borden thanked his coaches, teammates, and supporters in this touching statement.

Khaman Maluach, one of his Blue Devils teammates, responded with a straightforward and forceful “Good luck Brodie.”

Maluach, a 7-foot-2 center from South Sedan, averaged 8.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game during his one season at Duke.

Duke had an outstanding 35-4 record at the end of the season. After making it to the NCAA Tournament Final Four, the Blue Devils lost to Houston in San Antonio. Throughout the season, Duke only dropped one conference game.

Borden arrived at Duke from Turkey, and during his stay with the Blue Devils, he won four letters.
