Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi have reacted to Newcastle’s stunning win over Aston Villa, sharing supportive messages about what appears to be a fantastic result and performance for Eddie Howe’s Magpies.
On Instagram, Staveley stated that he ‘could not be prouder of our team’ and hailed the traveling Toon Army for being up in force, despite the 8.15pm kick-off on a Tuesday night.
Ghodoussi praised our effort in ‘one hell of a game’, noting that it was our first win at Villa since 2013 and Unai Emery’s first home loss since February of last year.
